Ceridian Hosts Session On Sustainable Workplace Wellness Strategies

Jennifer Piliero, Senior Product Manager, Ceridian LifeWorks To Discuss Aligning Employee Wellness Programs With Organizational Goals

Minneapolis, MN, May 6, 2014 – Ceridian announces Jennifer Piliero, senior product manager, Ceridian LifeWorks, will present: Five Strategies for a Sustainable Wellness Program, during the 2014 IHC Forum and Expo in Atlanta, Georgia.  Session attendees will learn how to develop a workplace wellness program that recognizes the unique characteristics of their organization’s population. Strategies for gaining critical leadership support and ways to devise a program structure that aligns with an organization’s culture and goals will also be examined.

With health care expenditures soaring, there is increasing interest in workplace-based disease prevention and health promotion as a means of improving health while lowering costs. According to a Harvard Economist study, medical costs fall about $3.27 for every dollar spent on wellness programs, and absentee day costs fall by about $2.73 for every dollar spent. This average return on investment suggests that the successful adoption of such programs could prove beneficial for budgets and productivity as well as health outcomes.
