Department of Labor Answers Questions on ACA Implementation          

In January, the Department of Labor’s Employee Benefit Security Administration issued a Frequently Asked Questions document on the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The document provides insight into preventative services and limitations on cost-sharing requirements. ACA Penalties Proposed for Non-Coverage

The Internal Revenue Service recently proposed monetary penalties for individuals who do not obtain health coverage under the Affordable Care Act. Under proposed rule, individuals who do not have minimum coverage will be required to pay a monthly fee of $95 in 2014, $325 in 2015, and $696 in 2016.
