November's HR Thought Leader of the month is - David Shadovitz, editor and publisher of Human Resource Executive, a leading magazine for executives in the human resource profession.

Passionate about keeping the audience engaged, Shadovitz and his team seek out the freshest and most relevant content. His motto is to never publish an article twice and keeps his word by staying current with industry trends and hot topics. 

During his career in publishing, Shadovitz has received accolades from numerous publishing organizations, including multiple awards in the American Business Media's Jessie H. Neal competition and the American Society of Business Press Editors' Azbee competition. Shadovitz also received one of the highest honors in the HR profession when he was named a Fellow to the National Academy of Human Resources (NAHR) in 1995. 

Shadovitz also serves as vice president of editorial for the LRP Magazine Group, publishers of magazines such as Human Resource Executive and Risk & Insurance with its affiliated Web sites. He is also a regular contributor to HRE's staff blog, The Leader Board. He joined the LRP Magazine Group in 1986 and worked on the start-up of both publications. Previously, he was editor-in-chief of Gordon Publication's Computer Dealer magazine. In addition, he has held senior editorial positions for several industrial magazines. 

Shadovitz received his bachelor's degree in English from Trenton State College in New Jersey (now the College of New Jersey) and his master's degree in communications from Stephen F. Austin University. 

Current responsibilities include cochairing the HR Technology Conference and Exposition, the world's largest HR technology conference, now in its 14th year.
