Attendees at Ceridian INSIGHTS 2010 praise access to experts, innovation, training and networking

Ceridian's annual customer conference provided human resource management, payroll, benefits, tax filing and compliance update training along with opportunities for recreational networking and fun.

Ceridian hosted more than 130 training sessions at INSIGHTS 2010, the company's 23rd annual customer conference in beautiful Miami Beach in July.

For many attendees, the value of INSIGHTS is really about getting answers to difficult questions. Merissa Steuwer, payroll manager for Inland Regional Center, judges the conference's value by its excellent "rate of return." Every year Steuwer, a veteran of seven INSIGHTS, brings one of her big projects to the conference. "The kind you just can't get done in the office because you don't have the time." She takes her project to the Solutions Center, where she can access Ceridian's experts under one roof who, she noted, "are ready to serve you. With every INSIGHTS I have a big project to do and after INSIGHTS I've accomplished it."

Other Ceridian customers attend INSIGHTS to research and learn about innovative new products, services and solutions. "The primary reason I came to INSIGHTS is because our company is pretty excited about Dayforce," explained Tina Cernitz, payroll manager at Harsch Investment Properties. Ceridian Dayforce is Ceridian's next generation payroll and HR management solution. Kristen Ell, HR assistant with the Scoular Company, has also appreciated her first Dayforce glimpses. "After seeing it, we think Dayforce is going to be faster and more intuitive. If it's as easy as it looks it's going to be incredible."

"One of the things I like about INSIGHTS is that it's four days of really good training," explained Tammy Johnson, payroll manager for Allied Building Products Corp. Ms. Johnson's perspective was shared by many attendees.

"I've been coming to INSIGHTS for 10 to 12 years," said Darcy Headly, payroll manager for the American Chemical Society. "The reason I come back is because we're often trying to change things and evolve the way we're processing payroll." Headly feels the one-on-one sessions and lectures help them understand new ways of working, which she finds "very, very rewarding."

Keith Ducey, the corporate payroll manager at MFS Investment Management, appreciates INSIGHTS for the access to Ceridian employees. "The account executives are here and also the senior management," he explained. "You really get to talk with people that are actually doing the day-to-day [work] or developing the products."

"Every year we look forward to hosting INSIGHTS," concluded John Hunter, executive vice president and general manager, Ceridian HR/Payroll. "We appreciate all our customers joining us for some excellent training, and a little entertainment. While we try to make INSIGHTS one of the most informative and educational customer conferences in the industry, we also recognize this is our opportunity to say thanks."
