SOUTH DAKOTA: Municipal Personnel Background Checks

Provides that each person over eighteen years of age seeking employment with a municipality must submit, subject to the discretion of the municipality, to a state and federal criminal background investigation by means of fingerprint checks by the State Division of Criminal Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
