MICHIGAN: Background Checks -- Health facilities
Establishes that a health facility or agency that is a nursing home, county medical care facility, hospice, hospital that provides swing bed services, or home health agency must incur all costs for performing employee criminal history checks. Provides that if the Department of State Police or the Federal Bureau of Investigation charges a fee for conducting the initial criminal history check, the Department must pay the cost of the charge for a health facility or agency that is a home for the aged.
