What is RSS?

RSS (really simple syndication) is a free service you’ll find offered on the Ceridian Web site, which allows our Web site visitors to keep abreast of news and information in XML format ("RSS Content"). This means you get our latest content, as soon as we publish it, simply by using an RSS reader.

How do I access RSS content?

To start accessing RSS content, you’ll need an RSS reader, also sometimes called an aggregator. This is a type of software that checks the updates and lets you read any new article that has been added. There are many different types of RSS reader - some are browser-based, while others are downloadable.

Browser-based RSS readers let you catch up with your RSS content subscriptions from any computer, while downloadable applications let you store them on your own personal computer.

Where can I find an RSS reader?

A range of RSS readers are available and new versions are appearing online all the time. Different RSS readers work with different operating systems, so you will need to choose one that works with your computer. Some are very simple and free, while others are more complicated and for sale. See below for a few examples:

How do I choose my content?

Once you have chosen your RSS reader, you can choose the content you’d like to receive. For example, if you would like to be kept updated with the latest message board posting, click on the orange button on the message board page.

By clicking on the orange RSS button  you can subscribe to the RSS content in the following ways:

• Drag the URL/Web address of the content you want into your news reader, or


• Cut and paste the same URL/Web address into a new "feed" in your news reader.

Quite simple, really.

In fact, some browsers, like Firefox, Opera and Safari, automatically check for feeds when you visit a Web site, and display an icon when they find one. This can make subscribing to RSS even easier.
