Community Service

Contributing positively in the communities where our employees live and work is essential to Ceridian Culture. Ceridian employees take pride in volunteering and getting involved in their communities. Together, we contribute thousands of hours to churches, hospitals and youth, educational and social organizations.

Employee Volunteer Service and Fundraising
Each year Ceridian employees donate thousands of hours to nonprofit organizations. We encourage this participation by offering every employee one paid day off each year to contribute time to a nonprofit of their choice.

Our employees also raise and donate hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to support the missions of organizations like the United Way, March of Dimes, American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Salvation Army, and more.

Ceridian and the United Way
We enthusiastically support the United Way and the breadth of nationwide, nonprofit organizations they represent. During our annual fundraising campaign, Ceridian matches employee contributions with 50 cents for every dollar donated. In 2004 the United Way of America presented Ceridian with a coveted Summit Award in the Employee Community Investment category.

Community Action Field Program
To help financially support employees making an impact we created the Community Action Field Program. Through this program annual grants of up to $500 are awarded to individual employees to apply toward a nonprofit organization in which they are actively involved.

School Partnerships
Many Ceridian employees in the United States and Canada have partnerships with their local schools. In St. Paul, Minnesota, for example, Ceridian and St. Paul Central High School have a partnership whose primary purpose is to prepare young people for the world of work.

The collaboration includes job shadowing, internships, curriculum development, cultural exchange, and student and faculty scholarships. Students are also offered workshops on career choice, job application skills, writing skills, and stress management.
