It's that time of year again: Start preparing now to ensure a successful year-end!

Stay on track through 2006 by preparing for year-end now. The following list of tips and tasks can help you prepare for year-end starting this month:

  1. Review Wage and Tax Audit Reports. Confirm that all of your companies have no outstanding wage and tax audit messages. Correct errors as they occur.
  2. Review last year's tasks for this period for special notes and entries.
  3. Review any changes to information that Ceridian provides to third parties.
  4. Verify that all voids and manuals have been entered in the HR/payroll system.
  5. Check out our new Web-based training classes. Visit MyCeridian > My Support Page > Ceridian University.
  6. Review company reports for necessary changes for 2007. Create copies of reports with new formats.
  7. Register to complete a self-paced online tutorial. Visit MyCeridian > My Support Page > Ceridian HR/Payroll Support > Answer Center > Year-End/Year-Begin > Training for New Users > Self-paced Online Tutorials.
  8. Review timing with third party sick vendor for necessary W-2 information.
  9. Request an outstanding checklist. Research any checks more than 30 days old.
  10. Generic general ledgers users should review tables for 2007 year-begin changes.
  11. Experienced users should register to attend a Refresher for Quarter-End and Year-End Success session. Visit MyCeridian > My Support Page > Ceridian University.
  12. Review employee vacation, sick and personal balances as of September 30, 2006. Correct as necessary.
  13. Print any detailed checklists. Visit MyCeridian > My Support Page to view:
    • Year-End PC Product Procedures
    • Open Enrollment
