Q: Will any of the sessions be repeated more often this year? I can never manage to schedule all the sessions I want because the sessions overlap and are not repeated at another time.
A: Yes, because customers have asked to have sessions offered more than once, we will make the most popular sessions available more than once.
Q: Will there be a place at INSIGHTS for me to do my payroll if necessary?
A: Yes, HR/Payroll Web customers can access the Cyber Cabin in the Solutions Center to process payroll during the INSIGHTS conference. We will have Internet access and a printer there for individuals to use. You will just need to bring your processing Web site URL and login information along.
Q: Can I receive APA and HRCI credits with the Ceridian University Diploma?
A: The Ceridian University Diplomas are separate from the APA and HRCI recertification programs. However, you can earn both recertification credits and a Ceridian University Diploma at INSIGHTS. The conference catalog -- which will be available in June -- will indicate which sessions are eligible for industry recertification credits and/or the Diploma programs. This information will also be available on the INSIGHTS Web site.
Q: How does a person qualify for a Ceridian University Diploma?
A: To qualify for a Ceridian University Diploma, you'll need to attend designated required core sessions and three or four electives you choose. Each diploma has its own requirements and can only include sessions attended at INSIGHTS. We will scan your badge at each session you attend to track your sessions. Full details about the Ceridian University Diplomas will be available soon on the INSIGHTS Web site. Details will also be included in the printed conference catalog and on the INSIGHTS Web site.
Q: Can I get a copy of the guide for the Ceridian University class lineup prior to the start of the conference?
A: Yes, all sessions, including those that qualify for the Ceridian University Diploma programs will be listed on the INSIGHTS Web site and in the printed conference catalog which will be mailed to registered attendees in June.
Q: What is the cost to attend INSIGHTS? Is there a group discount available?
A: If you register for INSIGHTS by February 29, you can take advantage of the early bird discount of $200 so the price will be $1,195 per person. After that date, the regular conference rate will be $1,395. After May 31, you will be charged a late registration rate of $1,595. If you have five or more people from your company registering for the conference, you can receive a group rate of $1,195 per person -- even after the early bird discount ends.
Q: What does the registration fee include?
A: The registration fee includes food functions -- hors d'oeuvres (Sunday), breakfast (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday), morning and afternoon coffee breaks with snacks (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday), lunch (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday), and dinner (Wednesday evening). It also includes the concurrent and general sessions and all conference materials. Your travel and lodging expenses are not covered in the conference registration fee.
Q: What is the purpose of the Ceridian University Diploma?
A: The Ceridian University Diplomas demonstrate an individual's knowledge in a particular area. The program was developed at the request of many of our corporate customers as a way to provide specific training to their employees. The diploma verifies that an individual has completed the specific training to become an expert on a product or function.
Q: Can I bring a spouse/significant other to the conference receptions? Are there any activities planned during the day for these guests?
A: You may purchase individual meal tickets onsite for your guests to attend any of the conference luncheon sessions and the final night dinner. Details about guest meal tickets will be posted on the INSIGHTS Web site and will also be included in the printed conference catalog which will be available in June. Ceridian does not offer planned activities outside of the conference for your guests.
Q: What is the dress code at INSIGHTS?
A: The dress code during the conference is business casual. Even though this conference is during the summer, we recommend you bring a sweater along as the air conditioned conference rooms may be cold.
Q: How long are the days?
A: The first session starts at 8 a.m., after breakfast. There are two 90-minute session times in the morning and two 90-minute session times in the afternoon. There is a 30-minute break between each session, plus an hour and a half for lunch. The last session time of the day ends at 5 p.m.
Q: Are we required to stay at the conference hotel? Will I miss out on anything if I choose to stay at another hotel during the conference?
A: No, you are not required to stay at the conference hotel. If you choose to stay at another hotel, you will still have access to all of the same conference events as the customers who choose to stay onsite.
Q: Will Ceridian provide transportation to attendees from the airport to the conference?
A: No, you will need to arrange your own transportation between the airport and conference hotel. Most attendees take a taxi service.
Q: How many people attend INSIGHTS each year?
A: Last year we had nearly 800 customers in attendance at INSIGHTS. The attendance generally ranges from 700 to 850 customers each year. This size allows Ceridian too keep the conference intimate for the attendees -- yet still offers a wide variety of training options.
Q: I am a first time attendee, do I need to register for the sessions I want to attend in advance to hold a secured seat?
A: No, you will not need to register for sessions before you arrive at the conference. All sessions are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. All you need to do is show up at the designated room at the start of the session. Because the hotel conference rooms are big enough to accommodate large crowds, we don't expect sessions to be unavailable due to overcrowding.
Q: What is the purpose of the discussion groups?
A: The purpose of the discussion groups at INSIGHTS is for Ceridian to connect with customers to get their feedback on topics such as product development. These groups generally have 10 or fewer participants and are lead by a Ceridian employee who asks the group to discuss questions presented to them on the topic. These conversation help influence changes and new product direction at Ceridian. Participants typically receive a small gift from Ceridian for their participation. We offer discussion groups on several different topics. You can register to attend any of the discussion groups by indicating your interest on the INSIGHTS registration form or asking at the Help Desk on site at the event.
Q: What is a video testimonial?
A: A video testimonial is a recording of a customer speaking about their experience with Ceridian. We use these testimonials on our Web site and in sales presentations. Customers who participate in the video testimonials at INSIGHTS are compensated with a small gift from Ceridian for their time. You can sign up to participate in the video testimonials by indicating your interest on the INSIGHTS registration form or asking at the Help Desk on site at the event.
Q: Why do you scan my badge each session?
A: We scan badges in every session at INSIGHTS to keep a record for you of the sessions you have attended. Following the conference, you will receive a report of all the sessions you attend, which you can submit to APA and HRCI for recertification credits. This also allows us to keep track of your sessions for the Ceridian Diploma programs.
Q: When I'm onsite, where can I go to get help?
A: At INSIGHTS, you will be able to get help with any questions you have about the conference and the training sessions at the Help Desk. The Help Desk will be available throughout the conference. For help specific to your Ceridian products, you can visit the Resource Center, which will be staffed with Ceridian product experts. The Resource Center will be available during the Solutions Center hours. Details about the Solutions Center will be included in the conference catalog which will be available in June.
Q: Will my account executive be at INSIGHTS?
A: Not all of Ceridian's account executives will be in attendance at INSIGHTS. We typically have around 50 AEs onsite. You should contact your account executive or Ceridian representative before the conference to determine if they will be in attendance.

Q: I can't attend the entire conference, is there a one day rate available?

A: Yes, it is possible to earn more than one Ceridian Diploma at the conference if you are able to work all of the required sessions into your schedule.
Q: Can my coworker and I share a registration and both come on different days?
A: No, two people cannot share one registration. You must each register separately, but can register for day rates instead of the entire conference. The day rate cost is $600 per person.
Q: If I can't attend a session, can I still get copies of the session handouts?
A: Yes, the onsite Help Desk will have copies of all session handouts. We will also provide you with a CD-ROM containing product session presentations from the conference.
