Irrespective of where you enter the Ceridian organisation, as a trainee or as an experienced manager, Ceridian takes career development very seriously. In line with the requirements for the role and in conjunction with your manager, a personal development plan will be drawn up.
This plan will include personal objectives that you are expected to meet for the role, a number of personal development initiatives and the development of competencies that Ceridian believes to be very important for your role.
All these activities are captured after approximately 3 months into the role in Ceridian's Personal Best development tracking system. A Personal Best Contract will be drawn up between you and your manager, and during the year this will be used to help track your progress against the objectives, development initiatives and competencies. Personal development in Ceridian is not just seen as a number of training courses that are required for your role; it is actually a much more rounded activity. Training, coaching, mentoring and gaining professional qualifications are all forming part of this development.
For each role in the company, development paths are identified at the outset. These can be technical, managerial or commercial in nature, such that if you wish to become a technical IT expert, a staff manager or customer service expert, all these options will be assessed and feed into your development plan.
