The energy cooperative will use Ceridian's human resources management solutions to streamline processes, improve productivity and provide its employees with enhanced capabilities
Ceridian Corporation, a leading provider of

workforce management solutions announced today that Great River Energy has become one of Ceridian's most recent energy industry customers. The energy cooperative will be using Ceridian's workforce management,
recruiting, payroll, and reporting solutions.
"In May of this year we began looking at ways we could automate and improve some of our manual processes," explained Mary Dailey, Great River Energy's manager, Rewards, Development and Technology. "We especially wanted to automate our time and attendance process, which is largely paper driven."
Once Great River Energy began looking at time and attendance solutions, they decided to open up their entire HR, payroll and workforce management processes. If they could make these areas more automated, streamlined and efficient, they knew they could increase productivity and save their HR professionals time, freeing them to pursue more strategic business efforts.
"We looked at several vendors," Dailey said. "Ceridian stood out for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, we really liked their customer service model. We've had experience with vendors who give you a toll free number and you have to enter a queue and speak with a different representative every time." Ceridian's
award-winning, personalized customer service model appealed to them.
"Ceridian's sales process was also thorough," added Dailey. "Ceridian got to know our business. And at every step, whenever we needed something, Ceridian was very responsive. They often anticipated our requests before we made them." Great River also found Ceridian's references underscored the company's
customer-centric perspective.
Great River Energy also made their selection based on Ceridian's state-of-the-art technology. Nucleus Research, an independent research firm, selected Ceridian's cloud-based InView platform as the leader in usability and functionality. Furthermore, Ceridian InViewTM Business Intelligence - Analytics will provide unprecedented visibility throughout the organization.
Great River Energy's workforce includes three labor unions, resulting in a number of different timekeeping and payroll requirements. Ceridian's payroll and workforce management solutions can be configured to manage Great River's labor force complexities. And since many of Great River Energy's 800 plus employees work in the field, having mobile device access to Ceridian InViewTM Workforce Management were particularly intriguing.
The company expects Ceridian's ad hoc reporting solution will be easy-to-use and robust. Ceridian InView Business Intelligence - Analytics means Great River can provide its leaders with a new tool that will enable them to generate many of their own reports and give them views into their payroll data they've never before had.
