Ceridian Selects Presagia Leave Software to Enhance Its Absence Management Services

Ceridian Corporation, a leading provider of managed human resource, employee benefits administration and absence management services and Presagia, a developer of web-based solutions for workforce absence & disability management today announced that Ceridian will be deploying Presagia's employee leave management software to support its leave management services. Presagia Leave is a centralized web-based system that enables organizations to manage employee leave in accordance with federal, state, provincial and organization-specific leave policies. Ceridian will implement Presagia's SaaS (Software as a Service) solution to provide Ceridian Absence Management, a solution used by employers to outsource management of FMLA, short-term disability and employer leave policies. With Presagia Leave, Ceridian customers will benefit from Ceridian's case management expertise and a system that provides real-time enterprise reporting and analytics.
Ceridian is one of the pioneers in leave management and has built a world-class set of services that enable employers to confidently outsource leave management. Presagia develops Web-based software that provides secure, real-time access to leave data and automated workflow and processes. Working together, Ceridian and Presagia will deliver a solution that will help employers to address the significant financial, commercial and legal risks that surround employee leave. Key benefits to customers will include increased efficiency for HR and employees, greater transparency of leave processes and outcomes, and improved adherence to federal, state, and their own leave policies.
"Administering leave across North America means managing state, federal, and provincial regulation and customers' own leave policies," explains Ronnie Lapidus, product manager of Ceridian Absence Management. "Each leave policy has its own eligibility and documentation requirements and timelines for submitting and receiving them, making decisions, and so on; with Presagia leave, our staff expertise combines with a system that offers process automation and decision-support tools to ensure our customers' leave cases follow the appropriate, compliant path. And enterprise reporting will provide our customers with trends and analytics within their own organization and benchmarking in comparison to other employers."
Ceridian will manage employer's government mandated leaves, short-term disability and other leave policies using a version of Presagia Leave that includes FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), all state rules such as CFRA (California Family Rights Act) and all provincial rules like Ontario's Pregnancy and Parental Leave. Leave policies specific to each client are configurable and supported by the leave rules engine. This engine drives Ceridian leave managers' workflow with automation tools that notify leave managers when a new leave request is made, alerts that identify approaching deadlines and in-conflict leaves, escalation procedures for 'at risk' leaves, and auto-routing of 'next step' tasks. The Presagia Leave system also includes 'one button' eligibility and entitlement calculations, concurrent leave tracking, and continuous, intermittent and reduced schedule leave management.
"Providing our team with this system will promote greater efficiency allowing them to focus on higher value leave case management activities for customers," explains Mary Miller, Vice President of Ceridian Wellness and Absence Management. "Furthermore, Presagia's self-service tools for employees and managers will provide our customers with the ability to log in and review their own leave cases, and run management reports and dashboards.
