In the October 2008 report, The Forrester Wave™: Human Resource Management Systems, Q4 2008, the research firm evaluated seven HRMS vendors. Each vendor was evaluated against 104 criteria designed to surface the company's current offering, strategy and market presence. Forrester asked vendors to conduct demonstrations of their product's functionality. They used findings from these product demos to validate details of each vendor's product capabilities. To validate product and vendor qualifications, Forrester also conducted reference calls with three to five of each vendor's current customers.

In the report, Forrester stated, "[Ceridian's] core HRMS product, Ceridian HR/Payroll Latitude, is supplemented by well-integrated Ceridian payroll processing and outsourced benefits administration capabilities (benefits administration is also available within Latitude)."
